Back in Integris in OKC

Hello everyone. I am back at Jim Thorpe in Oklahoma City. It is nice to be somewhere I know and people know me. I am getting stronger everyday. I have been working on my left arm and hand more than my leg. I seem to be progressing faster this time. I have a good attitude and outlook. Thank you for your prayers and thoughts.

Zale Lipshy in Dallas

Well everyone we are in Dallas at Zale Lipshy Hospital. Kimberly had her angiogram on Thursday the 15th, during the angiogram the doctors decided to proceed with embolization. It went very good. It took about 6 hours to complete everything. A couple of hours in recovery Kimberly could move her left arm and leg but they were weaker than before surgery. Kimberly was moved to ICU. After being in ICU for a few hours her side affects from surgery started getting worst. She lost the complete use of her left arm and part of her leg. She also lost all of the fine motor skills on her left side. The doctors decided to have an emergency cat scan to see if they put the glue in the wrong vein. After the cat scan they decided it must be the area around the avm swelling. But the doctors think she might need 3 weeks of rehab here at the hospital, but she does not think she will be there that long. Hopefully later today she will be moving to a regular room. We will continue to update the blog during and after the hospital stay.

I appreciate everyone praying for me.
I went to my doctor's appmt in Tulsa this afternoon with the eye doctor. She was very nice and things went well; I don't really know what she thought, but I hope it all is good. I guess we will find out in a few weeks. At least this appmt took my mind off the OTHER thing coming up next week. I am still worried and nervous about the procedure coming up, but I just keep telling myself that things will be fine because I know they will.
By the way, Bonnie Ervin (my great-aunt) had a stroke this morning and I would like it if you could pray for her. She is doing good, but of course is still weak.

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! Mine isn't over yet; we will finish it up on New Years Day with Jacob's grandparents. My Christmas was wonderful; I got way more things than I needed, but am very grateful for everything.
I found out that I have another doctor's appmt on Jan. 5th; it is for an eye appmt so it is no big deal, I just have to go.
To be honest, I am so worried about my angiogram; the doctor's office sent a letter, and now they are saying that I will stay in the hospital for one night now instead of going home. I have a feeling they will go ahead and do the onyx. I know everything is going to be fine and will work out great, but just knowing that I have to go in and have something done is nervewracking. I constantly think about it and think about all the things that can go wrong... I pray and pray about it, and tell myself that everything is going to be fine, but I still worry.

I found out when my appointments are in Dallas. I have to go to the hospital on the 14th for lab work, then I will go in on the 15th for the angiogram(sorry, I don't know how to spell it) and they may do the onyx at that time; they don't know if they are going to do it or not and won't know until they are in the middle of the angiogram. If they do it, I will stay in the hospital overnight and come home on Saturday (I think). If they don't do the onyx, I will get to go home that night. THEN, they will set up a date for the radiation at that point; I assume it will be pretty close to that date so things don't get to move around a lot in my brain so it will be as close to the same as possible. I know everything will work out just fine, but I am still a little worried, just because of everything I've already been through. Please continue to pray for me!

I cannot believe it, but I already have an appointment with a doctor in Dallas! We just let my doctor in OKC know a few days ago and we are going Dec. 16. Jacob and I have to go get some films or something from the hospital so we are going to OKC tomorrow and we are going to go by the rehab part and ICU and see if there is anyone there to say Hi to. Tomorrow night we are also going to a Miranda Lambert concert at Shawnee; I am really excited about that, I think it will be alot of fun.

I'm happy enough to jump up and down!!!

As you might can tell from my title I am happy today. I FINALLY got my Medicaid number, so that means that I can hopefully set up the appointments for my radiation surgery. It only covers everything that was after Aug. 1 as of right now, but we are working on getting it to go back to July 19; if we don't I am not going to be too down about it, I am just happy we have gotten this much help. I feel so blessed to have received everything we have and at this point it seems unbelievable that I am where I am right now. I was getting REALLY down about it, but hopefully things are turning around!
I'm sure no one will read this before I go tomorrow, but I have a doctors appointment in the morning and I hope it goes well. My eyes are not working too well for me tonight, so I think this will be it for now. Love you guys!
